Join us for the annual ABFA/Dads’ Club Back to School Picnic as we welcome new families and welcome back returning families to our wonderful school. This event gives students and parents a chance to meet and talk with other ABE families, reconnect with old friends, meet some of your children’s peers and get more connected to our school community.
Parent volunteers will be grilling up hot dogs, burgers, chips, and a dessert for everyone. You are welcome to bring your own picnic food for your family if you prefer. Drinks are not provided, so please plan ahead and bring your own drink(non-alcoholic only) for your family. You will also want to bring your own chairs or a blanket for your family to gather on the lawn.
NO PETS OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.
This event is made possible by the fundraising efforts of the Amy Beverland Family Assoc. & Dads’ Club. Parent volunteers just like you, plan and run this event from beginning to end, and it takes a village to make it run smoothly for over 800 students & their families. Please consider signing up for a short shift to help out. It’s fun, a great way to meet other parents, and it’s a big part of what makes our school so great!
Shifts available for multiple areas: GRILLING, FOOD PREP, SERVING STATIONS, CLEAN UP
Shifts available between 2:00pm -8:30pm
Please select a slot that works best for you. We encourage everyone to volunteer for at least 1 hour a year at one of our events. Invite your other ABE friends to sign up to join you! Responsible Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers are welcome to volunteer as well.
