"Thank you for everything you’ve done in so many capacities.  We truly appreciate your tireless efforts to make ABE more than just a school – it’s a family, in great part because of you!."

"About 7 years ago, we were a new family at the school and we went to our first Family Fun Night. My general default setting is to be pretty introverted. So, as our kids ran around like crazy, I walked around, just taking in the scene. At some point, a man approached me and introduced himself as “Scott”. He said he was in the Dads’ Club and told me he’d love me to join.

What I remember about this interaction was his authenticity and enthusiasm. There is no way I would have signed up and shown up to a meeting without that sort of authentic  invitation.  But, when the next meeting came, I decided to go. That opened a door to too many fun experiences to list here. I learned a lot about myself, my community and I got to tangibly make our school a better place. And I’ve made wonderful, dear friends.

The experience of being involved in Dads’ Club has become an incredibly important part of this chapter of my life. And it all started, for me, with Scott simply approaching a new dad and inviting him to be included. It was a 10 second interaction.

I’m writing this, Scott, to say that even when it seems like it’s a small pebble we are throwing in the pond, the ripples can stretch far and wide. You and Erin have thrown so many pebbles into the pond of our community. Those 10 seconds are just one example. And your ripples will go on for many years to come. Isn’t that an amazing thing to think about?

From a young age, my father has always told me to surround myself with people that challenge me to be better, brighter, stronger, kinder, more hard working. He’d be proud you are my friends.

Erin, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you without a smile on your face. You have so much positive energy! You have not only done so much for the kids. But the staff too! As the husband of a teacher, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you making my wife’s (often challenging) job a little easier. And letting her know how much she is appreciated.

So. Cheers! I wish you both the best in your next adventures. You deserve all the great things that will be coming your way. And, simply, thank you. "

"Scott and Erin,  Thank you so much for demonstrating what commitment looks like.  You’ve given selflessly and set a great example for ABFA members and leaders to strive toward for years to come.

You consistently refer to ABE as the best school around.  We all recognize that is not an observation as much as a manifestation of the efforts of yours and others who’ve been impacted by your leadership.
Zach Ebeling
"Erin and Scott - not only are you both great examples for other parents in our community, but you have set the standard for how your boys will take on the world. I am certain other students and families have noticed your contributions, even though it may not always seem that way.  Somewhere down the line they will do their part remembering the impact you had for them. To us, that’s the immeasurable impact of being a servant leader and you guys nailed it."
Arun and Meghan Murali
"Thank you for everything you have done for the staff, parents, and students at Amy Beverland. You are the definition of true servant leaders. You will be missed dearly."

"One of the amazing things about ABE has always been its family involvement and support. Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough for all that you have contributed to that legacy. I will add your name to the list of those that we miss, but remember- once an ABE Star, always an ABE Star!"
Abigail Weber
“You both are the true definition of community servants. Always setting the example of how to give selflessly, expecting nothing in return, but receiving more than you ever hoped. Thank you for getting me involved years ago... I have made so many friends and am lucky to be part of such a great community. You both rock!”
Nellie Stout
ABE parent, ABFA member, and lucky to be your friend
"Scott and Erin, We are so grateful to both of you for everything you've done for the families and kids in Lawrence Township! The many boards you have served on over the years...ABFA, ABE Dad's Club, the LT Foundation, OYO, Kiwanis Club, and YMCA are just a few of many. The amount of time and effort it takes to commit to these organizations, while working and raising children, takes serious dedication. You are humble servants who have helped cultivate an amazing school community. And most importantly you have set a wonderful example for our children. We love you guys!!"
Thanks for everything, Brea & Brent Kuhn
"Scott, Thank you for your leadership with ABE and the Lawrence Community. In an attempt to be unique, I offer you this analogy. In professional sports, it's common to hear of a successful Assistant Coach getting the call to lead a team in their own way. This new leader was influenced greatly by their former, and yet wins from either party are still shared among the growing network. Some traditions grow deeper and new ones emerge. Thank you for challenging me to lead Dads’ Club. It’s an experience I will always cherish. "

"Scott and Erin, On behalf of the Working family, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to Erin and Scott for your tireless commitment and support of our beloved school, Amy Beverland Elementary.  Your relentless dedication to ABE has certainly made a positive impact on the students and staff, both former and current, and the results of your efforts will continue on for years to come.

In my initial Dad's Club meeting eight years ago, Scott demonstrated the value that volunteer work can bring to the school and community, and he became an inspiration to me.  We would subsequently work together in many Dad's Club and ABFA school events and activities, and also served together on the board at OYO.  Scott was always prepared at meetings, always the consummate professional, and really showed the rest of us how it's done.  Although I didn't work with Erin nearly as much as Scott, I do know that she was always very dedicated and instrumental in helping and supporting him and the school.

Thank you both for all of your hard work making our school the great place it now is, and making the ABE stars shine so bright! "
